Big night out!

By Emma
As you may know by now, I love a good night out and most exciting are the 'posh' ones!  I'm lucky in the fact that Aaron also loves a 'Black tie' event, and constantly despairs of those not doing properly. We love an excuse to dress up and we don't care who else is... New Years' Eve in our local pub

Shoe alert

By Cyprus Mum
Most of us want to continue to look as glamorous as possible when we’re pregnant. To compensate for temporarily losing our shape and having to wear un-shapely clothes, more and more mums-to-be are opting for high heels in the hope that it will make us feel more fashionable. Admittedly, a pair of this season’s latest must have heels does look so much better than our favourite comfort shoe, doesn’t it?

But apparently we shouldn’t be wearing them. During pregnancy the weight gain and hormonal tsunamis we experience are affecting the way our muscles and ligaments normally support us. Tissues become softer, more stretchy and expose our feet and ankles to an increased risk of strains, twists and breaks.

So if this has you reaching for your flip flops thinking you’re better off with them, think again. Wearing flip flops during pregnancy is said to be equally unsafe, as they do not hold the foot in place at all, allowing it to go all over the place with every step.

As with everything in life, moderation is key. Keep the heels for nights out on the town, the flip flops for days on the beach and invest in a well-fitted, low heeled, round toed, supportive pair of shoes. And since it’s now summer in Cyprus, you can’t go wrong with walking barefoot around the house.

Your back and legs will thank you, and so will your baby one day!

Congratulations, You're Pregnant! Now What?

By Cyprus Mum
It is so fun to see that deep shade of blue on the stick for the first time. It's an exciting day - kind of like standing in line for a fun, but somewhat scary roller coast ride. Anticipation, happiness, hopes, fears and questions may start rattling around in your mind all at once. And there are many decisions
